Vaccinium corymbosum ‘Goldtraube’, commonly known as the Goldtraube Blueberry, is a vigorous, heavy-cropping German variety favoured for its aromatic fruit and ornamental autumn foliage. It is a mid-to-late season performer that reliably produces large, sweet berries between July and August.
Light: Grow in full sun.
Soil PH: Must be grown in acidic soil with a pH between 4.5 and 5.5. If your garden soil is alkaline, it is highly recommended to grow it in containers using ericaceous compost.
Sunlight: Prefers full sun for the best fruit production and flavour concentration, though it can tolerate partial shade.
Watering: Blueberries should ideally be watered with rainwater, as the lime in tap water can gradually reduce soil acidity.
Pollination: While some varieties are often listed as self-fertile (like Goldtraube), we suggest planting at least two different cultivars together to significantly improve crop yield and berry size.
Grows to approx 1.5m tall.
