DECIDUOUS: An upright pear that produces fruits which are edible but they are often hard and a bit tasteless. So consider it more ornamental. Its produces a mass of white, sweetly scented, blossom in spring and has great autumn colour. Great for a smaller garden as it has a narrow conical form making a wonderful specimen tree. It is attractive to birds and pollinators. It likes a well-drained soil and is tolerant of quite heavy clay soils. Growing 8-12m after 10 to 20 years. Reliable and Hardy. 2-3 year half standard.
