Agave ‘Shaka Zulu’

Agave ‘Shaka Zulu’ is a rare and dramatic cultivar.

Named after the legendary Zulu king, this agave lives up to its name with a commanding presence and a strong, enduring form. It’s a slow-growing, low-maintenance plant, ideal for design-led interiors, patio containers, and dry borders where a dramatic focal point is desired. In the UK climate, it performs best in a bright, well-ventilated room or conservatory, or in a sheltered outdoor spot during the warmer months. As with many agaves, it thrives in free-draining soil and requires infrequent watering.

Though hardy to around -3°C in dry conditions, Agave ‘Shaka Zulu’ should be protected from winter wet, ideally brought indoors or kept under cover in cooler months.
