Ipomoea aquatica is a tropical plant that thrives in wet soils/shallow water and heat and sun.
Commonly known as water spinach or kangkong, can be grown in the UK, but it requires warm and moist conditions, ideally in a greenhouse, sunny windowsill or sheltered sunny spot with consistent moisture and rich, well-draining soil.
Widely used in Asian cuisine for its tender and tasty nutritious shoots.
